I will take you to the Terezín Fortress built by Emperor Joseph II. at the end of the 18th century to protect Bohemia from any future infiltration of enemy forces from the North. In the Second World War, the garrison town and prison in the Small Fortress became a symbol of the persecution of Hitler's political enemies in the Second World War and the implementation of a monstrous program of genocide against European Jews. During 4 hours spent in Terezín you will learn about the history of the Czech lands during the 20th century with special emphasis on the history of World War II in the Small Fortress, National Cemetery, Ghetto Museum, Ghetto Prisoners' Life, Prayer Room, Jewish Cemetery with Crematorium.

This tour can be combined with a tour of the Jewish heritage in Prague or with a visit to the Royal City of Litoměřice and a tasty lunch in a restaurant in one of the preserved historic buildings on the central square.
